Saint Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church is praying for you, your family, and the repose of the soul of your loved one as you navigate the planning of their Mass of Christian Burial. These resources are here for you if you would like to start planning before meeting with our pastor or another staff member, who has final approval of your selections. We do not allow eulogies during the Mass, as they are not part of the rite. If you would like to give a eulogy, we encourage you to do that during the visitation or at the bereavement meal, if you are having either.

Funeral Liturgy Music Suggestions
Considerations you will want to discern in your preparation include:
- Will your loved one be resting in a casket at their Mass of Christian Burial, or will they have been cremated before the celebration?
- Altar Servers: do you have family members who serve here or at another parish, or would you like our parish to try to provide altar servers?
- Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion: do you have family members who serve here or at another parish, or would you like our parish to try to provide Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion?
- Lectors: do you have family members who are willing and able to read, or would you like our parish to try to provide lectors? 2-3 lectors are needed for the following:
- First Reading
- Second Reading
- Prayer of the Faithful (Petitions)
As much of this can be challenging to plan, no decisions must be made before you meet with the pastor or another staff member. We are happy to answer any questions you have and help you through this process.
